My Trip to Ontario and Quebec! (Part 3)
Yatta! We’re at the final post of the trip to Ontario and Quebec which I took in July. It took a little longer than expected to get these posts up but hopefully in the future, I’ll be more efficient with this stuff! The most time consuming part for me was definitely all of the photos. Browsing, selecting, editing, uploading, seems like a lot work doesn’t it? I’m probably just a big slowpoke! Regardless of however long it took, I still really enjoy sharing my photos and experiences with all of you. I hope you have enjoyed reading about my trip! Scroll on to read about what I did on the last two days!

Day 5 – August 27 : 1000 Islands and Niagara Falls

This is the tour boat that took us around The 1000 Islands.

Spotted these untied shoelaces while sitting on the top deck of the boat. They were bugging the hell outta me! I wish the kid would tie her laces, now they’re going to get all dirty! hahah

This is what a boat garage looks like!

I thought that the houses sitting on those mini islands looked a bit surreal. I can’t imagine living on a tiny island.. I guess I’m a city girl haha.

I think these coin operated binoculars look pretty cool, kind of like a robot or something.

This is Boldt Castle. It was built by the millionaire proprietor of the famous Waldorf-Astoria hotel in New York City as a display a love for his wife. Woah, imagine someone building a castle for you!! That’s just crazay.

You could visit the castle if you wanted.

There was even a US Customs / Border control at the castle. This is because The 1000 Islands are spread across USA and Canada. I left my cell phone on during the boat tour and ended up having to pay 6 cents in roaming after I got my bill haha

After circling the castle, the boat headed back to the port.
This is what the shortest international bridge in the world looks like!
Next stop, Niagara Falls! The famous Maid of the Mist boat tour!

It was my first time ever seeing Niagara Falls!

Everyone got their blue ponchos! They look a bit like smurfs, all they need are some white hats!
My blue poncho face. Trying not to get wet haha

Never seen a full rainbow so close! So pretty.

I was afraid to use the SLR Camera around all that mist, but I managed to snap this shot once we were at a less misty area.
Sunset! We went to explore around the Niagara area after we finished dinner. There was lots of things to do in the area.

Frankenstein likes burgers from Burger King!

Mmm fudge. Their sign was nice and sparkly.

The Great Canadian Midway place had tons of arcade games inside.

A wax version of the Joker. Looks very realistic!

Went to see the Niagara Falls at night! It’s a totally different experience from seeing it during the day.

Twilight to dusk is a wonderful time of day to take photos.

I took A LOT of photos of the falls being lit up, I couldn’t get over how nice it looked!

My camera totally got mist all over it. Eek scary!

Ever see a rainbow.. at night?! awesome.
Day 6 – August 28 : Toronto

Our last day of the trip was spent sightseeing in Toronto before catching our evening flight. We went to see the CN Tower.

Toronto’s Garbage collectors were on strike while we were there. I’m glad that the strike is over now.

The security check at the CN Tower. The metal detector looking thing would blow many strong puffs of air at you. It kind of tickled lol

Some shots of the city view at the top of the CN Tower

My friend Cass will really enjoy the message displayed on the binocular machine. You might too.

Hahahaha! Visit : http://failblog.org/
if you haven’t already.

Stopped by Toronto’s City Hall to take some photos. This is their old city hall.

We also stopped by Toronto’s Parliament very quickly to take some pictures.
Our last stop in Toronto was China town! Walked around for a while to kill time before we had to leave to the airport. We had dinner at this small Chinese restaurant that had really good pan fried dumplings! I don’t know the name of it though. After a few hours in Chinatown, we then got on our bus coach for the very last time and went to the airport.
I should’ve slept but I stayed awake and watched two movies, Watchmen and 17 Again hahah. I haven’t seen the Watchmen before and I heard about the excessive nakedness of Dr.Manhattan. Luckily for me, all of those ’scenes’ have been blurred out. lol!
We got home around 11pm and I went to bed as soon as I could because I had to go to work the next morning! The trip was really good, we saw a lot of different places and I took a lot of photos. It was very cool to see that part of Canada for the first time. Although the stays in each city were quite short, I got a good taste of each place and will definitely return sometime in the future!
Ack! Sorry these entries have been so long, I’ll work on smaller posts in the future :X! Thanks so much for reading about my trip! Hope you will take the time to leave a comment! (:
