Here&#8217;s a short post with some photos from my trip to the <a href="http://www.calgaryexpo.com/" rel="external">Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo</a> last month. The expo took place on Saturday April 24th and Sunday April 25 but I only went on the Saturday. When we first got there, we were a bit overwhelmed by the huge line-up! So much for getting the advanced tickets, it seemed a little pointless since we had to line up anyways in a line that seemed to go on for days. It was a bit of an annoying process but it wasn&#8217;t too bad once we got inside. The exhibition area was slightly crowded but it was what you can expect at an expo!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tiffa/4644243912/" title="Calgary Comic Expo 2010 by tifanani, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4008/4644243912_36de3488c5.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="Calgary Comic Expo 2010" /></a><br />There were tons of people dressed up! I&#8217;m not very sure what&#8217;s going on here but the girl was some kind of slave zombie Princess Leia. Interesting..</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tiffa/4644243488/" title="Calgary Comic Expo 2010 by tifanani, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3389/4644243488_0bccbf260d.jpg" width="500" height="334" alt="Calgary Comic Expo 2010" /></a><br />Stormtroopers are inevitable at every con.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tiffa/4644243856/" title="Calgary Comic Expo 2010 by tifanani, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4066/4644243856_b30173ec06.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="Calgary Comic Expo 2010" /></a><br />Furries are also inevitable, but I just don&#8217;t understand them..</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tiffa/4644243970/" title="Calgary Comic Expo 2010 by tifanani, on Flickr"><img src="http://tifanani.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/CCEXPO011s.jpg" alt="Calgary Comic Expo 2010" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tiffa/4644243520/" title="Calgary Comic Expo 2010 by tifanani, on Flickr"><img src="http://tifanani.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/CCEXPO007s.jpg" alt="Calgary Comic Expo 2010" /></a><br />I saw some very nice Street Fighter cosplays while I was there. Here&#8217;s a Juri on the left and M. Bison on the right! At the expo, they had a copy of Super Street Fighter IV available to play a few days before it&#8217;s official release. Artists from <a href="http://www.udonentertainment.com" rel="external">UDON Entertainment</a> were featured guests too and they had lots of Street Fighter artwork and books!</p>
<p><a href="http://omar-dogan.deviantart.com/art/Lolibuki-2-160629008"><img src="http://tifanani.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/15ec10f56f3ed862928eb3ba92c10514-498x800.jpg" alt="" title="15ec10f56f3ed862928eb3ba92c10514" width="498" height="800" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1079" /></a><br />Here&#8217;s an artwork that I saw for sale from one of the UDON artists, Omar Dogan. It&#8217;s Ibuki from Street Fighter but she was drawn wearing a Lolita outfit! I love it so much and really wish I got it when I saw it. If I had gone again on Sunday I would have but I didn&#8217;t end up going, ah well~</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tiffa/4644244010/" title="Calgary Comic Expo 2010 by tifanani, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3346/4644244010_e166b6a899.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="Calgary Comic Expo 2010" /></a><br />A remote controlled R2D2 that a lot of people were taking pictures with. It moved and made sounds which was pretty neat.</p>

I was surprised that she was at the expo, I&#8217;ve been fan of hers for a while and I had no idea she was going to be there. I was happy to meet her and made sure I bought something at her booth while I was there!</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s what I bought while at the expo:<br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tiffa/4644244168/" title="Camilla d'Errico Wallet by tifanani, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3397/4644244168_a000686069.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="Camilla d'Errico Wallet" /></a><br />A wallet from Camilla d&#8217;Errico. The rainbow zipper is my favourite part!<br /><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tiffa/4643630341/" title="Camilla d'Errico Wallet by tifanani, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4027/4643630341_cc053cecd9.jpg" width="500" height="244" alt="Camilla d'Errico Wallet" /></a></p>

I didn&#8217;t get this expo though, I had it before and brought it to be signed since I heard the artists (<a href="http://www.meomi.com/" rel="external">meomi</a>) were going to be there!</p>

Very cute!</p>
<p>That&#8217;s about it from the expo! Thanks for reading! :)</p>

This is a camera I received as a gift for my birthday earlier this year. It&#8217;s a film camera with a fisheye lens that can get a view of 170 degrees around. Although film cameras are a rare sight these days, I really enjoy taking photos with this camera. I like the mystery of not knowing how the photo will look until you get it developed, and some photos can turn out really spontaneous. Here are some of my favourite photos that I&#8217;ve taken with the camera so far.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tiffa/3736712546/" title="hug me by Tiffany B, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2487/3736712546_a1ff27ed11.jpg" width="500" height="332" alt="hug me" /></a><br />
A very cute seal mascot with a good message! &#8220;Hug me! Don&#8217;t club me!&#8221; In support of the <a href="http://www.peta.org/">PETA</a>. I spotted this guy while going to grab lunch on Stephen Ave one day and just had to get a photo of him (or her)!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tiffa/3736711828/" title="stampede park iv by Tiffany B, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2481/3736711828_80f68c7d21.jpg" width="500" height="358" alt="stampede park iv" /></a><br />
A shot of the Ferris Wheel at the Calgary Stampede. This year&#8217;s wheel seemed smaller than the one they had in previous years.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tiffa/3332595550/" title="Columns by Tiffany B, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3601/3332595550_5c2f508002.jpg" width="416" height="500" alt="Columns" /></a><br />
The camera is great for taking photos in tight areas and getting everything in sight! This one was taken while walking by The Bay in downtown. In the photo are some of my co-workers! mwaha</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tiffa/3331759003/" title="Tower by Tiffany B, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3400/3331759003_85ac173130.jpg" width="500" height="358" alt="Tower" /></a><br />
The Calgary Tower looks so short in this pic in relation to the Palliser hotel. I think this is a pretty cool perspective of the city&#8217;s landmark!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tiffa/3332595476/" title="Stephen by Tiffany B, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3539/3332595476_5858e70a27.jpg" width="500" height="362" alt="Stephen" /></a><br />
Those interesting sculptures on Stephen Avenue. My friend thinks they look like giant spatulas haha</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tiffa/3736657834/" title="on a stroll by Tiffany B, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2672/3736657834_fb523878cf.jpg" width="365" height="500" alt="on a stroll" /></a><br />
This looks like it could be anywhere in the world. The city bus kind of gives it away it&#8217;s in Calgary though. I really like when streets/sidewalks are lined with trees on both sides, it&#8217;s so nice to drive/walk through!</p>
<p>~ You can view the rest of my fisheye photo set on <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/tiffa/sets/72157621652273882/">flickr.com</a>.</p>
